Description

An Integratd-Art project, an experiment on floating gardens: the "future-islands" were constructed by Joy Lohmann to prove the feasibility of floating food production on fresh water. Built in the shape of miniature continents, the "future-islands" became a symbol for climate-change related seawater level rise. On an accompanying technical float, we produced enough solar power to illuminate the coastal lines with LED light-chains and 12 emergency-lights marked the most propable future disaster scenarious, caused to sea-water rise.
