For the World fair EXPO2000 in Hanover, german artist-designer Joy Lohmann together with Positive Nett-Works e.V. built the 70 square meter recycling raft with two domes as an integrated art project and symbol for societal transformation. Countless visitors enjoied a variety of cultural and thematic events aboard. Thanks to the huge media success and the help of many volunteers and partners, the future-raft became the initial project for the ongoing asap-island series and network.
