The very first upcycled sailing-raft was built by Chis Bubbles (aka Gert Weiland) and Klaus Weiland in Key-West/Florida. Within 2 years, the excentric brothers travelled the eastcoast to Norfolk, where their unusual vessel even survived a hurricane. Combined with the educationnal C.R.E.A.T.E. program, the ecoraft inspired people and media along the way and promoted a responsible economy and behaviour.
